Sandal Season: At-Home Pedis with Olive & June

Sandal season is well upon us (how is it mid July?!), but never fear - if your toes haven’t been summer ready, you’ve still got time to get them there and enjoy the rest of open-shoe season with perfectly painted nails.

As soon as all of the nail salons closed up shop last year, I knew I had to buckle down and properly teach myself how to do my nails. Getting a mani pedi was always such a treat for me. I’d go once a month, and for the remaining weeks struggle through painting my own nails, banking on the excellent clean-up job those artists performed on my hands and feet to carry me through to the next month. But once that was no longer an option for me, I started searching. It may seem silly that nail care was the thing I cared about during a global pandemic - but hey - we all needed and deserved some sense of normalcy during that crazy time of mass uncertainty!

I’d seen a bit about olive & june before, but now that I was in dire need of learning how to properly do my nails, my interest was piqued.
