Easy Halloween Costumes

(most of which are probably already in your closet!)

As a HUGE Harry Potter nerd - I had to include one of the classics (and my favorite character)! To dress up as Hermione from the first two movies (aka, when they really wore their school uniforms most of the time), all you need to do is:

If you’ve got curly hair like me - brush it out! If you’re blessed with straight hair, you can crimp it, or sleep with braids overnight then brush it out for the classic early Hermione frizz.
For your outfit, you need Hermione’s Wand, a V-neck grey sweater & tie (both of which I borrowed from my husband), a white collared button down for under the sweater, to go with the tie, and a pleated skirt.
Bonus points if you want to carry around a cauldron, or have a cape!

I think my favorite thing about this costume is the fact that you can wear it outside of Halloween, and it’s perfectly fine! It’s so versatile.

For this look - one of the most important things is the hair (which was a little bit of an issue for my side part): the two even braids with a middle part.
Comparitively, the rest of the outfit is simple! All you need is a collared black dress, some docs, and I chose to spice up my look with some props and dark lipstick. Don’t forget to never smile to really give off the Wednesday vibe.

Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me? M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!

I know the outfit is Mickey and the ears are Minnie… but bear with me! I like the mashup. Plus, Mickey’s outfit is way easier. All you need is a pair of ears (bonus points if you have your pair from Disney World!), red highwaisted shorts, a black mockneck tee, and my favorite classic white vans.

I think my favorite things about this outfit are: 1) I’d wear this on the regular, 2) depending on the crowd and which movie you like better, you can easily be two different characters at once, and 3) no matter what - you look amazing.

The star of this costume is absolutely the spanx faux leather leggings. Of course, any black leggings will do - but I love these leggings so much, and have styled them in a multitude of ways (plus, they’re super comfortable)! The only other things you need are black pumps, an off shoulder black top, and a bold red lip. If it’s a bit chilly out, you can toss a leather jacket into this costume, too!

Truly, it doesn’t get easier than this classic - and I guarantee you already have 90% of the costume in your closet already!

All you have to do is put your hair up and tie on a pink or red bandana, give yourself a bold red lip, put on a denim boilersuit romper (or a canadian tuxedo), and strap on your doc martens. Make sure you flash your guns all night, because you’re a badass lady who can do it!
