Valentine’s Day Lookbook
I understand the skepticism some have around Valentine’s Day. I mean, it absolutely is an invented holiday designed to extract money from our wallets. But with this past year being what it was (and seems to continue to be), I’m going to take every single excuse to celebrate - especially when the thing that we’re celebrating is love!
Whether you’re planning a date night in, a night out, or just want to keep it casual, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Valentine’s Day looks for y’all to emulate and enjoy!
Pop of Red
There’s not much that’s more classic than a bold red lip (hello Taylor Swift’s Style lyrics) and a crisp white dress.
What really ties this look together is the matching lip & bag!
If you’re going to go bold, why not match the roses you or your date will hopefully get you?
A jumpsuit is an easy and most often incredibly comfortable way to bring a look together, and can easily be dressed up or down depending on what shoes you pair with it! As you can tell, I’m always going to opt for those heels.
Pretty in Pink
Honestly, what goes with Valentine’s Day more than pink (and chocolate, and wine)?! A cute pink dress is always a classic option for your V-day apparel. And I love the statement shoes that really bring this look from “can be dressed up or down” to “wow”!
The best part? This whole outfit is currently on sale.
Keeping it casual but still want that pop of festive? Pair a light pink puff-sleeved shirt with your favorite jeans! For a little extra flair, add in some statement shoes, and these gorgeous pearl hair clips from Olive&Piper (my favorite women-led small business!)
Loving in Lilly
Outfit Details - Dress: Lilly Pulitzer, Shoes: Sam Edelman, Bracelet: Olive & Piper, Earrings: Etsy
Lilly may have her hold on summer; but you can absolutely bring her pieces into rotation all year long. This pink monochrome shift in particular may have more of a summery feel - but it absolutely belongs in your Valentine’s Day wardrobe, too!
I absolutely saved the best for last here. This Lilly dress that was dropped earlier this month is the hands down perfect Valentine’s Day dress. The navy coloring makes it seasonally fitting, and the scattering of hearts in the print are subtle enough to allow this look to be worn year long, but have enough pop to really emphasize the holiday feel. The puff sleeves and hint of an a-line flare makes this dress universally flattering, and insanely comfortable.
Have a lovely, stylish and safe Valentine’s Day, full of chocolate, wine, flowers, and whatever else you love my darlings.
xoxo, Sarah
